The Tour de France roving reporter on the back of a motorcycle going 50 mph is way better visually than someone sitting on a sofa in the pope mobile with a headset on
I don't understand why drones aren't used more often in marathon coverage. A drone with a 30 minute flight time could cover maybe 20 minutes of the race before landing and switching off to another drone. The car and motorbike shots are either so close you only see a few runners or telephoto from the front looking back so you can't even tell who is leading.
There is a drone hovering above the water tables at mile 21.
