There are now many guys in the NFL from West Africa, mainly Nigeria. None from East Africa.

Something called the US Marathon Championships was just won in 2 hrs. 13 minutes. American marathoners need to stop thinking about Kenyan marathoners and just worry about getting a few of their own under 2 hours 10 minutes. Americans marathoning is currently about as close to Kenyan marathoning as Kenyan water polo is to US water polo.

The average weight of a top 100 marathon runner has dropped 7 pounds since the East African running boom. That gives today's elites a 7 minute compared to 1990.

Steve Jones was 137 pounds when he set the World Record. Rob de Castella was 143 pounds when he set his.

I doubt there's been a world record holder over 123 lbs (Lopes) since Jones.

Sorry, I see the weight factor has been discussed but the fact is that weight, not BMI, or fat %, is proven to be a major factor in running performance.

USA and JAPAN are highly ranked than most of the poor countries in the World, why is that?

No, BMI and fat % correlate much better to distance running than weight, weight is just a proxy for it because it correlates with weight. It is still better to be 6', 150 lbs than 5', 140 lbs.
