Geoffrey will break it afte rthe Olympics. I hope he runs the Ras al-Khaimah race.

I had predicted a 58'35" for Geoffrey, with Karoki around 58'40", but obviously that was with the assumption that weather conditions were at least going to be fair. That is the kind of shape that Geoffrey was in, on the average, but the WR was a serious possibility. Its interesting that despite the horrendous conditions, Geoffrey and Karoki were on 58'37" at 15K.

After today's victory, Geoffrey's next stop is Rio Olympics where he plans to run at least 26'30", with the WR a possibility. Mo Farah is finally cornered and has nowhere to hide. If he wants the gold, he must be ready to run the WR. No more Sit and Kick.

For the half marathon WR, he might attempt it in Nov/Dec in India at the Delhi race. Ras Al-Khaimah would not be an option should Geoffrey choose to defend his World Cross Country championship since Kenya national Cross Country Trials are normally on the same weekend of Ras Al-Khaimah race. But given his talent and especially with today's demonstration in bad weather, Geoffrey could come back after a month from now and break the WR before putting full focus on Rio Olympics

Incredible race today. I hope you are right and we see Geoffrey win Rio 10K gold.
