Marlon is running the Brooklyn Half Marathon this Saturday. Let's see if he'll be "coaching" this one or "enjoying the views" (This route is unremarkable except for the finale in Coney Island)

While I sort of appreciate the off-handed comment about my time and my running ability....please dont include my name or BMR in your post.

I dont have a stake or much less care about his time or cheating but if you bet 10k on me beating him in a race....then I might charge you 11k to ensure I win or have u pay him 10k LOL

his situation is his own and BMR and myself are not part of it....

This is the guy who claims he ran a 3:08 marathon as a training run? Claims to have recently ran sub 17 for 5K too, I believe.

He is going to claim he was pacing an 80-year-old client. Because racing slowly with clients is what great trainers do.

I am completely baffled here by the idiots on here that are getting mad at the people for exposing this fraud. If it was a football team or basketball team blatantly cheating to win then people would be going for blood and up in arms and it would be a huge scandal but not here! Here exposing this guy is just mean and we should all hold hands and turn a blind eye because he's not hurting anyone. The hipocracy is just mind numbing.

I don't get mad about this but I sure do find it amusing considering a BQ (WR + ~50%) is roughly the equivalent of a 2:30 800 meters. Who cares who cheats to achieve something that mediocre?

I think people would care more about this event and follow it a little more if this thread wasn't 1 page of good factual information followed by 20 pages of freaking nonsense indecipherable nonsense. God it give me a freakin headache trying to figure out what the hell anyone is talking about.

I was actually wondering about this too. The poor fools on his 'team' still believe this guy is actually fast. Most of them have passed his speed long ago and continue to surpass him in races. I guess they overlook his times because he's a good guy. Well, a good guy that lies about his times. But of course me stating the obvious (and publicly recorded data) makes me a complete hater.

Assuming he does actually run marathons, has anybody checked Doubler's marathon results? Has Doubler ever completed a marathon or is Doubler the Geraldo Rivera of marathon investigations? The type that acts like an expert but doesn't have a clue and becomes his own caricature?

I have noticed at some ultra races where I have volunteered that the vocal people who are pointing fingers at other runners are often on the timer's list for suspicion of cheating and needing further verification.
