Sidenote - ESPN so far doing a good job production wise with mens/womens leader/pack coverage.
Agree, much better coverage of the real races this year. Far from perfect, but acceptable. Or perhaps I'm just comparing to Chicago/Houston local media coverage (gah).
Even though I was complaining about wheelchair coverage earlier, I'll actually agree. Someone was saying this is the worst coverage they've ever seen but this year is much better than last year in terms of the last 10 miles.

Once they decided to start actually covering the race, it's been fine.

Yeah the last 10 miles has actually been great
ESPN Execs lurking this thread hard. Hammering out commands to their team in real time. What a time to be alive!

You mean once the wheelchair races and interviews all ended and went home and they eventually had no choice but to show running
At the 5k mark, she already has the first 2,700 words of her 28,000 word race report ready to go...
On a serious note, do people even read or care about detailed race reports anymore from "running influencers? I mean, its not like anything is being said that literally hasn't been written by 87,000 other people....
It's a big city marathon, run by literally tens of thousands on people and is covered by mainstream media. It's not some obscure, hard to get into, hard to follow event like some ultramarathons like Barkley where reading a race report from a runner is actually fun because most people will never experience that. There's no intrigue to your individual race report from Boston.....
