So it looks like Rupp is pretty even (has been on pace for low 2:08's for forever). He'll likely pass Albertson soon. Potential to catch some blowing up runners if he doesn't fade hard.
I think a splitscreen is generally an ok idea but the way they've designed it, there is so much dead space on the screen, most of the actual image is blue background rather than the races. They should really make the screens as large as possible rather than taking up 50% of the screen with blue graphics.
Annie Frisbie is super intriguing here. In the lead on 2:22 pace after running a 2:23 here last year.
Jess Mc Clain also looks great. Tucked in a pack with the Africans.
Was also just thinking that McClain looks so composed. Lokedi is going to break away and win but I think McClain has a shot to go with her and get on the podium.
Would also love Jess McLain to podium to tell USATF to go eff themselves.
"Yeah it was a great day I felt great...yada yada yada...I really appreciated how well-organized the race was. Huge thanks to the BAA for always having everything in line, great communication, great support. As athletes we never have to worry and it really just lets us focus on one thing: putting one foot in front of the other and having the best day possible."
Sidenote - ESPN so far doing a good job production wise with mens/womens leader/pack coverage.
Agree, much better coverage of the real races this year. Far from perfect, but acceptable. Or perhaps I'm just comparing to Chicago/Houston local media coverage (gah).
