It seems like the people cutting the corner always did it when that part of the course had no spectators. Earlier in the race when the pack was large no one was cutting the corners...

I went to the 2025-2026 D1 pre-championships rule book as well. Based upon information in the rule book, I sent an email to Demetria Young, Jeff Mlynski, Mark Kostek and Jay Fitzwater alerting them to the alleged cheating matter and asking for clarification. I got an out of office bounce back from 3 of 4. I assume they will bury their heads in sand but I will let everyone know if any of them respond.
Update #1 Note that one of the people listed had their cellphone on the rules book. He is involved with the rules but not the decision maker. I know this because I just called his phone number. I told him that runners had cut the course and asked him if they were looking at it. He said "that's the referee's decision" and then hung up.
I then sent him a text that stated "kindly please ask the meet referee to review the race footage as per the rules he is allowed to look at the race footage. There were several clear cases of runners cutting corners / running outside the lines. Thank you."
Update #2. I received a text back. "The referee is aware"

You might want to get out of your White suburb. Minneapolis is only 58% White now and falling fast. In 1950 it was over 99% White. Even in 1970 it was 95% White. It will be less than 50% White by 2030.

Nice to see a top 10 finish for the NAU women. Didn't seem to have close to the depth they had the past few years. I dunno what the point of bringing in that Ohio St transfer. Would have been nice if she could have contributed something this year

I don't mind foreign athletes at US colleges. However in a sport where only 5 athletes determine an entire team performance it would be nice to have some limits.
Sahlmam exceptional range, maybe for a collegian a class of his own. Lopez Lomong was also a unicorn and he finished on the podium individually while not running quite as fast at 800. Jonah Koech another guy who similarly very good at 800 and XC (once).

Sahlman ran well. Leo Young was pretty good as well. 72nd in 29:27.
They represented Newbury Park and Sean Brosnan pretty well.
