Probably not. Marcel Hug is sponsored by Sauber Aerodynamics (the team behind Alfa Romeo Formel 1). So definitely a benefit there in building his chair.
Hopefully we can get back to the race now that the solo time trial wheel chair is done. Great effort for sure, but dudes are actually racing right now!!!!!!
I'm going to go with a different take, in light of all the ranting about the wheelchair coverage.
There's actually no racing at all going on in the men's and women's lead packs; they're all out for a group tempo run at the moment, with at least ten people going through the time checks at the same time. They'll get plenty of dedicated coverage when the racing matters (which, right now, isn't very interesting). Celebrate the wheelers while they're doing their thing and setting course records, and then give me the running when the men's and women's races start blowing up.
Look at Mantz and then look at Kipchoge. Mantz is absolutely working and Kipchoge looks like he’s out for a Sunday jog.
But Mantz ALWAYS looks like that. Back in NCAA XC, he looked like he was absolutely dying while taking the lead and crushing everyone. It's just... how he looks?
I actually like the feel good storyline for the elite athletes, it humanizes them, which is good for the sport,, BUT AT LEAST GIVE US A PIP FOR THE RUNNING RACE

See this is really cool imo. Wish they'd talk about that more.
