Jordan Hasay Monaco DL

I'd rather see Alexi Pappas in the race; she deserves it more.

Jordan will always get into races other athletes can't for a variety of reasons, but mainly she has name recognition. Europeans meet promoters know her name from as far back as high school. Also, Jordan is young and a reliable mid-packer and obviously having a very powerful agent and coach helps as well. The things to consider when thinking about this is Jordan hasn't done anything wrong and has made her good luck possible. - Of all of the athletes discussed on this board, I could never understand the criticism Jordon receives when she always been almost perfect as an athlete.

Well, probably for one, the fact that she gets into meets that she doesn't deserve to be in probably earns some of the scorn. For a sport where the stopwatch doesn't lie, entries should be easy to figure out.

Did she genius? Did she also run faster at 3k and 10k? If not then your point is a braindead pathetic attempt to put Hasay down. Hasay is for enough for a 15:10 at least. Maybe it'll happen maybe it won't. But it's pretty obvious and she should be allowed into meets off the basis of common sense and times in races over/under.

It's hard to believe all the losers on this board. It's a reflection on the demise of our society as a whole.

She has connections, that's for sure. The 10K PR is quite good, but if she wasn't one of AlSal's athletes she'd be on the B circuit.

There's no way Hasay gets into this meet without here NOP association, but that's no reason to insult her. She made the smart business move to align herself with the power broker. She's not an international elite runner, but that has nothing to do with getting into DL meets. It's who you are as a whole. She's the new Kara Goucher. She isn't extremely fast, but she holds broad appeal for fans. I have no problem with this.

She runs 15:21 and finishes 3 from the back. That'll be an excellent showing for her.

I'll give her more like 15:15, and agreed that she manages to outperform 2-3 people.

I would not call the 5th fastest 10K in the world this year, "She's not an international elite runner". And, btw, her performance in all of her other races tells any meet promoter that she is better than a 15:30 5ker. Based on her recent form, she should have no problem running between 15:10 - 15.

5th best time blah blah....she was a minute behind the winner in that race. That's not competitive.

Yes , I like Hall , her time will come she had great breakout year , lots of noise on the board here about all the 5k athletes , she will be the one in two years time.

Maybe 15:10 pace for the first 10 laps. Let's see if she hits 10 laps in 12:08. That's 15:10 pace.

I agree that Jordan is ready to run fast. I also agree that she also has no control over these races as much as her coach and agent do.

It's still not fair that others with much fast PR's won't get the same opportunities as Jordan. Makes you wonder sometimes if we are allowing ALL athletes to develop or just giving opportunities to the athletes that have the best agents and most well known coaches.

She should pr here, but pulling strings like this is a major reason why Salazar's athletes are disliked. Remember how Steve Slattery for years after his high 8 teens steeples would still get into major Euro meets? When this kind of thing happens, it violates fairness, a key definition of justice. Marielle Hall and many other Americans are more deserving here. Hasay is a good American runner and making excellent improvement. But she is just not on the DL level yet below 10k.

I should add that her 3k time is good enough to run Diamond League races, though certainly she'd be far behind most of the African runners.
