Well the American winless streak continues.
Maybe Conner Mantz can do it down the road. He's 21-year old freshman but in 2015 he beat Morgan McDonald at world junior xc by a lot. He was 29th . MCDonald was 28 seconds back in 40th.
i'd watch out for Klecker and Dressel next year.
How come a Kenyan didn't win this? Surely with their incredible genetic advantages they would sweep this easily?

I suppose so, if you want to take a very liberal interpretation of the Constitution and treat it as a living document open to ongoing 'modern' reinterpretation.
I, however, like my right to bear arms.

And what often is missed in this discussion is that this country has a boatload of potential distance talent in the Hispanic and Native American populations. For example, overlooking Isai Rodriguez in favor of mid-race hero Mantz.
Total NPC SJW cuc[ post. Do the hispanic guys bring your girlfriend home in time for you to take her to breakfast?
I'm not a dude, you sexist prick. This is 2018. ..are women not allowed to post on letsrun? I'm a 24 year old female.
Clearly you did not graduate from a university up to par with that of Stanford.

There was certainly no need for you to insult him in your original post, and again with this one.
You need to calm down a bit.
Did they teach you that at your university?
How about them Wyoming Cowboys! Tough crew who train in the cold and beat their in-coming ranking! Junior Paul Roberts 20th! Great job UW Cross Coach Scott Dahlberg as well!
by the way, what's the current state of NCAA politics as far the women being "too weak and inferior" to race 10K like the men?
or do the men they think women's uterus will fall out (ala Olympic Committee pre 1984 or 5000m finally in 1996)
because based on the top 100 results, 10K certainly wouldn't be a problem, at all, maybe 33-36 minute range, are they insisting women can't run 15 minutes longer?

Hi Belle!
Of course, you are allowed to post here.

I think it should be 8k for both. The 10k tends to favor 5k/10k strength runners while the mid distance are almost non factors, and the 6k distance tends to favor the 1500/3000 runners while the true strength runners do not shine as much. I think the 8k distance is still approachable for your 1500m runner while also catering to the 5k/10k folks.
In addition, a wider range of women from the track team can be competitive at the 6k distance, allowing more crossover between XC/track and not force the school to be a distance only school. Look at Oregon and Stanford women, for example. Meanwhile, the men's teams basically have to commit to being a distance only school if they want to be competitive at XC, because runners than specialize at 800/1500/3000 do not flourish as much at cross country.
