This is one of the workouts I've scheduled in for my training leading up to a 10K in mid-November:
7 x 5:00 w/ 2:00 walk recovery
5 x 1:00 w/ 1:00 walk recovery
When I wrote it, it seemed appropriate as one of my big goal workouts, but in hindsight the 7x5 seems more like a Half or Marathon-oriented workout, and the 5x1 seems unnecessary.
What do you think - would it be a good hard workout for 10K preparation, or too much?
