Why don't those cackling hens just have a bunco party and call it good.
Naperville, Illinois in the house!!!
Seriously. Anyone could win this men's race.
Wow, a dozen still packed together in the men's pack, great race

But back to the Abba drag queens. Haven't checked in with them for a few minutes.
Which blocks more wind? A Tesla with pace clock or the 6'2" Chris Derrick?

Thrilling.....right..... Kirui run under 29:00 after going through 20 miles in 1:40, with the rest of the field doing the chicken.
Sit and kick race. Lame. Who cares.
Dibaba opens up 5 second gap at 30K. Kosgei is fading.

Was curious about the prize money at Chicago after I saw David Monti tweeting about it. It only goes 5 deep in the open. Then it goes 10 deep American only but from just $15k down to $500.
In all of the previews bashing the lack of a quality field, maybe this would have been something to look at. Without pacers and slower winning times on the men's side, if you're not American and finish 6th running 2:14 in a 2:11 race that gets you nothing. No prize money. No invite to a big spring marathon. For a race as big as Chicago, you should go at least 10 deep, if not 15 or 20. You have the money.
+1
Derrick is being an idiot, Rupp and others are just waiting to pounce. Rupp has drafted this entire race, he has a lot left.
So now, instead of Men or Women running the race, we get Men dressed as women watching the race.
GREAT content. No wonder the rest of the US doesn't give Chicago respect (and the natives are butthurt about it). Amateur hour disgrace!
Hasay is slowing down but hasn't craterd. She's now on 2;19 pace.
She's run her last two 5ks in 16:43, 16:42. S
