Got a sharp deep lower calf pain that I can't pinpoint in the last 1/2 mile of my 10k run yesterday. Pain when you lift the heel off the ground. Weird thing is it doesn't hurt to walk up hill. Nothing popped or anything just kinda was there. I really believe it's a knotted muscle deep in the calf as I can't get pressure on it or pinpoint it unless I walk then I feel it. Stretching relieves it temporarily then it comes back.
Any idea what this is or muscle? I think it's the soleous. Seems to run from halfway down my leg to near my ankle but pain is unable to be pinpointed. I been struggling with tight calf muscles and getting Gaston Technique due to scar tissue. The night before I seemed to have some cramping and at the end of that run my left calf was cramped also.
I don't think I'm getting enough or any potassium/ magnesium due to Keto Diet I currently on to get back to running weight. I was 180 July 9th and and currently 150.7. Still got a ways to go to 130-133
Any advice on what I'm feeling would be great.
