Twitter followers are a valuable and tangible asset. Think of it--nearly a million people check in multiple times daily to see what he has to say. They value his opinion, and his endorsements.

I'm thinking of sponsoring him. In my profession it's extremely hard to reach a million people, and costs a lot of money to do so. I don't have a big budget. Do you think I could donate something to his trip in exchange for him tweeting about me every couple of days?

This seems like too valuable of an opportunity to pass up--I don't know anyone else with so many followers.

He flew back to LA for a few days to shoot more Deadly Sins episodes so you Delmoties will have to wait.

It is quite easy to fake GPS data, so this guy needs to be scrutinized as well.

Kavinoky's followers are either bots or ones he got from spamming people with random follows. He has 800K followers but is following 400K accounts which is a classic indication of using a bot to follow spam.

Hi Kyle, I assume you're reading these comments. I have a few questions for you. Did you go with Darren to LA? Or do you get to take a break from everything? Is Darren paying you for your time on this trip? Are you an employee of his? How about the person who drives the RV?

Is the public really being harmed by his embellishment? People of life embellish their accomplishments and endeavors every day. It wouldn't harm the image of people that do it legitimately - this thread has shown that the rebuttable presumption is that every transcon is fake, so legitimate ones like Kostelnick go through the proper steps to prove legitimacy. And if groups are paying him for public speaking engagements, then the onus is on them to look into why it is that they are asking him to speak, and if those reasons are credible.
