Not impressed with his scant athlinks results.
Not impressed with his being a criminal defense attorney. That alone tells me he has no respect for honest people, and in fact does all he can to enable people to be dishonest.
Wait, just read his article. He is going to run 40-50 miles a day AND use the short breaks to film the 6th season of 'Deadly Sins," AND meet with Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Garth Brooks, AND meet with governors and mayors to provide them local population health data AND help them devise plans to get their residents active?
The article does mention he AND his trainer are going to do this run. Does that mean they are both going to put 3000 miles on their shoes? Or does it mean Trainer (whoever this guy is) will run 40 miles a day while Kavinoky runs 10 and handles all the P.R. engagements?
I know, it is just semantic. However, he is an attorney. Who supports, and enables the dishonest. Issuing a press release. Via a news outlet. That's three big groups that rely on the subtleties of semantics to make a living.
Sounds like a whole lotta bullsh*t to me! I hope his adventure is carefully followed and documented, and any cheating discovered and widely shared.
This is very fake. Not even an attempt to make it seem real.

oh god here we go again...
at least he is somewhat plausibly fit
and has a plan for rest days
but he is 50 years old
no way this happens
Seems like every hobby jogger these days have magical abilities to run ultra marathons day after day. Makes those Kenyans look like amateur athletes.
I would like to see video evidence of this guy running on the route. Is he even uploading GPS and cadence data from his watch to show he is running? Probably a drug test is in order, too.
Bump this thread, let's keep this going.
At least this guy isn't from the U.K..

But he probably has British relatives in his family tree. So still a British connection.
dude never seems to break a sweat
no photos of him actually running this thing, just standing around jawboning.
any gps tracking available?
This guy makes his living keeping drunk drivers on the street.
He has commercials telling people how not to get busted, and how to keep their license.
From this guy's Athlink results, he is a 4:30 marathoner. For him to claim to be doing 40-50 miles a day would see him take around 8-10 hours and that would be in fresh condition. His times should be even slower than this as the days go on due to fatigue, likely seeing the 10-12 hour range
He is claiming to be doing 3 days on and then 1 day off. But on the days off he is filming TV shows and he is giving presentations and meeting with "people" throughout the run. So where does he get all the time if he takes so long to run and also has to recover?
I smell signs of cow manure here and we should send boots on the ground to make sure he runs every step. We should team up with the Geezers.
I have my doubts.
This guy is a Grade A douchebag. And take a look at how corpse like his calves are. No wonder he is a 4:30 marathoner.
So far there is no GPS tracker or even status updates on where they are running. With shenanigans like that, they could just take an airplane across the country and claim they ran it. I calling this run a fake.
There is no way he will run even half as much as he says. The article states that he had back problems and shin splints during training. If either of those show up during the run he will be toast.
The only good thing about this is that it doesn't appear to be some fundraiser scam.
We need boots on the ground! Boots on the ground!
There are no videos or even any pictures of the guy "running" across this sham cross America attempt. All there are is pictures of Darren and his trainer looking bone dry in every picture like they didn't even run. They are wearing long sleeves and knee warmers in hot weather. Darren doesn't even bother to wear any socks for God sakes. And he always have those damn aviator sunglasses on that wouldn't even stay on for running.
And if you look through his social media, all you will see is videos and pictures of him lifting weights and doing upper body exercises with his trainer. The Darren guy literally has thicker arms than he does legs.
Both Darren and his trainer are way overweight to say they can legitimately run 40-50 miles and day and do everything on their schedule. It is completely bull crap and a complete sham of a run.

What the hell. This guy has already gotten coverage from CNN, Dr. Phil, and an ESPN Twitter. It's not even close to believable. Wtf.
He's promoting some website, as well as himself as aparantly he is a 'keynote speaker' as well as television producer and sleazeball defense attorney.
