7:00, 7:00, 5:00. Yes correct, a 5 minute 3rd mile.
I have 2 gears, jogging and all out. I can't seem to even pace, and a 5 min first mile wipes me out and I wind up running 8-9 minute miles to close.
So my solution has been to jog to the point where I know I can open up my stride all the way to the finish.
My goal is to keep working on my strength and endurance, eventually jogging mile 1 then mile 2 and 3 at 5:00 pace. Then eventually get to hold the pace the entire distance.
Is this a crazed strategy or have others tried this strategy before?
