Grammar is something everyone is supposed to know. Pointing out the mistakes other people make does not make you smart. Do you want a medal for knowing how to multiply too?

Is the "grammer" in your title intentional?
True, knowing grammar does not make you smart but NOT knowing it does make you a moran if English is your first language.
Nearly Everyone was given an equal opportunity to learn grammar as a kid. The smarter kids typically picked up better on it. Sorry that you're probably dumb.
Try as you may to downplay his accomplishments, being a fixture on prime time network TV for 20 years on two critically-acclaimed shows is nothing at which to scoff.
His work as Sideshow Bob is my personal favorite.
Getting offended by people who provide corrections instead of thanking them for the opportunity to learn identifies you as insecure. Failing to learn, (or even attempting to learn), through such corrections leaves more stupid than you would otherwise be.

If someone posted 3X4=15, I would correct him/her.
rojo/wejo are better at multiplication than grammar
The problem is that people for some reason assume when someone types things on the internet that they have proofread them. Most people are fully aware which of "there," "their," or "they're" to use, but unconsciously write the incorrect one. I usually assume people who correct these things are not smart and are overcompensating.
Hypocritically, however, I usually assume people that now incorrectly use "I" are really really dumb. It used to be that "me" was incorrectly used more often, but now "I" is used incorrectly more often as people who were corrected on the use of "me" now just switch to "I" in all cases. (e.g., "John came to the park with Peter and I" or "Join Katy and I on our dancing adventure.")

You assume too much.

That's because they can use a calculator but not spellcheck.

Quite the opposite. You are insecure for pointing out mistakes in an attempt to make yourself feel better.
does this apply to teachers too?

I completely agree with this. Pointing Out the Obvious, you need help. For real. You are a very negative person who spends way too much time on here insulting high school kids. Please seek help before things get worse. This is not meant to be an insult. I really think you would benefit from seeing a professional to sort out your issues.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. I will certainly give it all the consideration that it is due.
Spelling and grammar indicates you have not done much reading and writing. A person is not innately "smart" without reading and writing. We stand on the shoulders of the knowledge gained by others.
And poor spelling and grammar indicates a lack of self-discipline... either not taking the time to learn the simple basics... or not taking the time to express yourself clearly.

Incorrect. The people who provide corrections to grammar errors without making disparaging remarks toward the person in error are providing help. Sorry, but you are simply wrong.
