Just wondering what the ultra kid can do for the shorter distances. Anybody have any idea?
Does he ever do speed work?

You mistakenly put Walmsleys pr's in. Miller is a little faster since he beat him at Western States.
I imagine he might not even have any official times.
I was just looking for speculation.
Sage is a 2:16 marathoner, as an example, can Andrew run 2:16?
Is he surely faster than 2:20? Or is it possible for him to be able to win a 100 miler against 2:12 and 2:16 marathoners and be unable to break 2:30?
Inquiring minds ....
He's a strong runner and very well trained mentally for going long. But I don't think he has a lot of leg speed.
Aerobic fitness, for sure. Perhaps if he chose to work on some faster stuff he could get some pretty decent times. But I think he's more of a classic mountain/ultra runner type. Like Geoff Roes and others.

I don't think you can extrapolate much from a 100 mile trail run. Especially as I don't think Sage is much of a 100 miler.
It would be like if Alan Webb ran a 2:22 marathon one time and then speculating if the 2:19 guy who won the race might then be able to run a 3:45 mile.
The fact that someone can beats Sage at 100 miles probably means they are slower than him at a marathon of anyone. Just built differently.
