I get those ads all of the time. What's the deal with online mattresses all of a sudden?
The deal is that it is easy to shop online, and difficult to shop in a store. Not in terms of laziness, but knowing you are gettin a good mattress, vs having to choose what feels like the right one, often based on uninformed or misguided opinions. (Like buying wine, it is much easier for someone to tell you, this one is good, than to stand there looking at bottles to guess for yourself.)
I bought a leesa. Very happy with it.
Buying a mattress is literally the worst experience in the world. You go into a mattress store and see 50 mattresses, 49 of which are garbage. The one good one is MRSP $2499 but marked down to $1899 but you know you can bargain lower and then end up buying it for half price after 20min of haggling.
There is nothing special to mattresses. Just three layers of foam, that's it. It's not rocket science.
Casper et al take the inconvenience out of it. Just pick your size and order online.
This business model was long overdue.
I'm no expert on mattresses but I'm very happy with my Casper mattress.
My experience buying it (directly from their office in NoHo in Manhattan) was great. They're super friendly people and really care about customer satisfaction.
I've slept comfortably on my queen-sized Casper mattress for the past ~3.5 months. Unfortunately I can't really compare it to its competitors like Tuft & Leesa (I found god review here

), but I definitely don't have any complaints!
