I'd like to see some dabbing from Deena and maybe Rupp could show up with some zebra striped tights.

There should be a bonus if the male or female winner crosses the tape doing that Superman shirt move.
1 minute off your finishing time if you complete the race in a fully loaded fuel belt.
problem is if you don't finish top 3, you're quickly forgotten. No one says Jimmy Grabow, oh ya, great runner finished 10th in the trials, for example. Despite a great performance, that would be considered "subelite" or "elite American" and the runner might be struggling to get a shoe contract. Top 100 runners in the trials should make money, enough to live on for a few months at least. Winner should make over a million. Why showboat when even if you win the race unless you perform in the olympics or a fall marathon if you run poorly there, you may be struggling to earn enough from a sponsor to even feed yourself.
Who should pay all that money to the top 100 and $1M to the winner?

Not so sure of that...
Molly: That was incredible! That was the shot of the tournament!
Roy: I just gave away the U.S. Open.
Molly: It doesn't matter.
Roy: One time in my life I know the safe play to hit and I still...Shit, I still can't make myself do it.
Molly: It doesn't matter.
Roy: My whole career, my whole life on the line...I just made a 12 on the last hole of the Open!
Molly: You sure did. It was the greatest 12 of all time. No one's going to remember the Open 10 years from now, who won...but they'll remember your 12! My, God, Roy, it was...Well, it's immortal!
