MIKE - You are going back on your own word and promise. Show us the MRI and report from the Dr!!!!
You offered to share it, now PUT up or shut up. Otherwise, the term liar will me even more appropriate because you openly offered it based on the above link above. You are getting caught in a lie that you are solely responsible for. You cannot blame anyone else nor call your lawyer for this.

Live from Abington wrote:MIKE ROSSI - since you obviously read this board given that you called your attorney yesterday regarding an innocuous quote from the movie Animal House, I want to take the opportunity to call your bluff and see how truthful you are. You mentioned several times, captured here -
http://imgur.com/a/i5ZqU, that you are willing to share your MRI to prove that you are in fact injured. An individual's words are only as good as their action to back up those words. So, I am respectively requesting that you please provide a copy of your MRI and technician's or Dr. Richard Goldberg's report with the diagnosis.
If you choose not to fulfill your prior offer, I think that will not only speak volumes, but also confirm many of the allegations about your character.
MIKE - where is the MRI?
If he doesn't provide proof, people are naturally going to assume that he's not injured and has dramatically increased his training, while taking a break from racing, with the hopes of dramatically improving his times and running close to 3:11 in his next race.
Props to you if you pull this off, Mike, but it doesn't change the fact that you cheated at Lehigh Valley to get into Boston.

What's the difference? Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, missed a few timing mats, or took a few liberties with our medical exceptions and our female party guests—we did. [winks at NOP] But you can't hold a whole running community responsible for the behavior of a few, sick perverted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole running system? And if the whole running system is guilty, including college track and field, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg: isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do what you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

Great, Now Mike is going tell his attorney you accused him of taking advantage of a few female party guests. Maybe we need to start quoting Spongebob for Mike to understand the pop culture references on this board.
AWESOME! Long live abingtonrunner!!!

That's good news but it wasn't working earlier for me either. Maybe it was a problem on youtube's end.
First, a message to abington runner: delete your browser history and cookies, and you're good to go ahead and post. You might be able to track down just the letsrun ones, and delete only those.
More importantly, a message to Mike: consider what happened to 2 other well-known cheaters, Rosie Ruiz, and Kip Litton. Ruiz faked wining Boston in 1980. Unlike you, she was disqualified, but the important thing you need to know is that she never entered another race.
Now consider Kip Litton. His cheating was discovered 4 or 5 years ago. I don't know if he's run a single race since then.
Why does this matter to you? Because both of these cheaters denied their cheating, like you, but never returned to running. This is a problem for you because you have "caught the running bug" as you state in your social media. If you keep on insisting you didn't cheat your fate is likely to be that of Ruiz and Litton: never heard from again, not running, the butt of jokes, and liked by nobody. I know you don't want that to be your future. I know you want to be part of the running subculture. But you're an outcast, and will stay that way, unless you do something. That something is to admit what you did, apologize to the principal, VIA, and Boston, and vow to make amends.
Runners are actually nice people. If you were to take on my suggestion I bet local runners would reach out to you to include you in group training runs, and help you get a legitimate BQ. Mike, just think about how good that would make you feel: to be liked by other runners, instead of this, and to have those runners help you get to a 3:25 - your BQ time. Your wife would be so proud of you. Your kids would look up to you, instead of having to explain your bogus story to their peers.
Please seriously consider how you would feel if that happened.
PS, it's cheaper, too - no lawyers needed.
That was all very well written, but you are forgetting one thing....
MIKE DID NOT CHEAT.
He just didn't take any other run seriously. But when he did at VIA, boy, did he turn it on. He ran like the wind.
In fact you are so wrong, because he just ran a race on May 3rd. Yup, just 3 weeks after Boston, and only days after telling the press that he would return to running when his injury healed. Wow, that is some quick healing.
Must be all that unicorn blood he's been drinking.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROxvT8KKdFwThis is the best route, Mike. Your false pride is imprisoning you. If you do the right thing, you can both turn this into a positive and regain control of your life. The more you lash out and run this facade, the higher the walls around you become. It may hurt at first, but the relief you will feel will be immense; not to mention gaining your life back. Do the right thing, Mike. You won't regret it.
good you're still around! So what time tonight will this thread break 5,000 posts? 5k posts about the liar and cheater Mike Rossi!
I live over 1000 miles away from Rossi. Lots of people in my running club are recreational, definitely do not peruse this forum. A shockingly high number know all about Mike Rossi and every single one I've talked to believe he cheated.
Reason is, the Boston Marathon is on par with the Olympics for this crowd. It is a dream many of them have, though many know they can never qualify. So, when some guy cheats his way into this hollowed ground, the anger they feel towards him is very palpable. I can't imagine his local running community ever welcoming him back in.
One lady just today said something to the effect of, "I just don't understand why he didn't run it as a charity runner. He didn't even need to cheat to get in! Wouldn't that have been an even better lesson for his kids to see?"

Only 18 more. So exciting.

That would have been an AWESOME lesson to teach his kids. And he'd probably never have to admit to most friends and relatives that he didn't actually qualify - just the people who run. He could parade around all day at work in his unicorn shirts and shorts and jacket and hat and tie and coffee mug and bookends and calendar and iPhone case and computer screensaver.
Maybe it's not even too late. Is it possible he could call them and offer to donate money to a charity if they allow him to keep his Boston result? He'd lose his Via result, but what does he care? He doesn't have any respect for that race anyway, or he wouldn't have cheated in it.
This could be a win/win for everybody. Somebody should call the BAA and see if they can retroactively change his result to a charity entry.
It just went past Down Goes The Dow. Wow.
