Me: just started working again after economic downturn, 31 years old, no debt/student loans, single. masters degree career, starting salary ~50k/year
Investments:
Vanguard 401K from first job in 2009: ~$40,000. Employer sponsored. Haven't rolled over. All aggressive stocks. 100% stocks
Roth IRA: ~$15,000 (have this mostly in a vanguard international fund- hasn't done that well recently). VWO ticker symbol mostly
Savings: ~$30,000 (mostly in individual stocks and vanguard index funds such as Nike (NKE - done extremely well over the years), Vanguard Small Cap, Vanguard s&P, and ETFs in energy and housing market sectors)
Roth 401K fund in current job (just started - I'm saving 15% of my current salary towards this): ~$4,000, invested in a moderate/aggressive fund that's a mix of mostly stocks and some fixed income stuff. not eligible for company match until 2 years with company
Main expenses: Rent:
I rent out an apartment for $800/month.
Question:
1.) should I rollover my vanguard employer sponsored 401k to an IRa or something?
2.) how's my allocation among various tax deferred accounts?
3.) Would it make sense for me to buy a condo for under 200K? Could easily drop a down payment and buy, but then again I may make better return with my funds sitting in the market?
4.) anything else you can suggest?
