Hi I'm pretty new to running and am in my sophomore year of high school. I ran freshman year but it was basically just for weight loss because I was fat as hell. Now I know I'm not super elite like most other people on here (19 46 5k) but I'm just wondering what my mileage should be like this winter to have a good track season. In xc my mileage was usually around 20-25 miles per week (the whole team did this which is why our team sucked). I'm just wondering if anyone has a good idea of what type of mileage I should shoot for progressing up to this winter to start off the track season strong. Again, I'm not looking to do amazing things because with my history of running I'm obviously not the most talented. Also, no I am not a troll, i just actually want to have a good track season. My goal would be like somewhere around sub 5 30 or sub 5 25 in the 1600 this season. Ok thanks.
