I'll graduate in May with a double major in environmental science and chemistry. I'd like to live and work in Colorado (my home state). I was hoping to do something for the forest or park service, working in water quality or something like that, but I could also be involved in reclamation... I really do not want to work as a traditional chemist though as I really don't like the major much but was hoping to use it to allow me to get better jobs working outside.
I've had decent summer jobs related to my majors the past two summers but am kind of clueless as to what's out there and how competitive it is. I have a great GPA and good references... Anyone actually in the know who could give me some ideas about jobs, how much I might be getting paid, and if I'll actually be able to find work? I'll have about $20k of student loans, so I'm kind of worried about finding a decent job.
Thanks.
