Hi I'm a 15 yr old girl who does XC. Last week I had a tightness in my left buttock and my hip. My sacral bone was tender to the touch and it hurt to lift my leg sideways. I saw an ortho, and he said he thought it was a stress reaction. I rested for a week and now the pain is completely gone. I have a follow up appt tomorrow, and am not sure if I should get an MRI. I tried hopping on it and had no pain and lifting my leg no longer hurts. I do have some inner groin tightness/pain but I think it's from starting pool running. If I'm pain free, is it likely that it's a sfx/reaction? Should I still push to get an MRI or just return to practice? Thanks!!
