I shower after my runs, so usually nine times per week, but when I take my breaks after seasons I totally forget and sometimes go several days without a shower. Is that normal?

no, not normal. Shower once a day, bro
Eight Reasons Why Capitalists Want to Sell You Deodorant.
1. Body smells are erotic and sexual. Capitalists don't like that because they are impotent and opposed to all manifestations of sensuality and sexuality. Sexually awakened people are potentially dangerous to capitalists and their rigid, asexual system.
2. Body smells remind us that we are animals. Capitalists don't want us to be reminded of that. Animals are dirty. They eat things off the ground, not out of plastic wrappers. They are openly sexual. They don't wear suits or ties, and they don't get their hair done. They don't show up to work on time.
3. Body smells are unique. Everyone has her own body smell. Capitalists don't like individuality. There are millions of body smells but only a few deodorant smells. Capitalists like that.
4. Some deodorants are harmful. Capitalists like that because they are always looking for new illnesses to cure. Capitalists love to invent new medicines. Medicines make money for them and win them prizes; they also cause new illnesses so capitalists can invent even more new medicines.
5. Deodorants cost you money. Capitalists are especially pleased about that.
6. Deodorants hide the damage that capitalist products cause your body. Eating meat and other chemical-filled foods sold by capitalists makes you smell bad. Wearing pantyhose makes you smell bad. Capitalists don't want you to stop wearing pantyhose or eating meat.
7. Deodorant-users are insecure. Capitalists like insecure people. Insecure people don't start trouble. Insecure people also buy room fresheners, hair conditioners, makeup, and magazines with articles about dieting.
8. Deodorants are unnecessary. Capitalists are very proud of that and they win marketing awards for it.
I'm still using deodorant, screw that. But I'll go three days without showering and not even notice until my hair gets oily.
I don't forget but if I'm not active and am just hanging around I might not shower one day. I will wash my face.
Also, I usually only wear deodorant once or twice a week.
I know this is a troll post, but eating meat is now a capitalist plot? That is definitely a new one.
You can replace Capitalists with Socialist Dictatorship and not skip a beat in all your numbered points.

A lot of animals spend hours preening and mostly get up punctually at dawn to get something to eat

I am not some vegan weirdo, but I hope you're kidding. If not, go visit a cow or poultry factory ASAP. We have a few here in NC and I've been. Absolutely disgusting. They pump those cows full of hormones and kill 50 a minute so that more people can have steak on the table.
I still eat it, but I tend to eat organic meats now (when I can afford them).
Deodorant is for insecure people, though. If you really think you smell bad without a scent under your armpit, you have issues. It's one thing if you're a sedentary obese person who eats chemicals all day, but if you are fit, active and hygienic, you really do not need deodorant. Try it for 3 days and see if you smell.
No, I never forget to shower daily; however, when I can't shower (camping, illness) it becomes the focal point of my misery.
It's easy to tell when people don't wear deodorant. They smell terrible. Armpits are gross.
Bodies don't smell, they stink. You're nose smells.
I don't wear deodorant...I wear antiperspirant....which keeps me from sweating when I'm wearing my work clothes...nothing worse than a wet arm pit in a meeting or during a presentation...I have never noticed a significant body odor if I don't wear antiperspirant, because I'm hygienic and fit and eat healthy, but its not appropriate to sweat in dress clothes, so I wear antiperspirant.

I think the real question is why your armpits sweat so much sitting around an office building.
Antiperspirant is TERRIBLE for you. Yeah, lets load a bunch of aluminum into our lymph system each morning for years on end. That is certain to work out well.

That is exactly what P&G wants you to think. The truth of the matter is that most people who smell terrible are probably also wearing deodorant. There is nothing gross about an armpit. Much less bacteria under an armpit than in your groin. Do you slather deodorant around your thighs and butt crack?
I am serious. If you are a clean person who works out and eats healthy foods, try not wearing it for a few days - maybe on vacation to be safe. If you find that you smell, post here and I will donate $10 to UNICEF. I trust that you will be honest about it.
Good to know you have the misconception of believing that all beef and poultry is grown in factory farms.

Where did you get that idea? I raise chickens in my yard. My wife's uncle has a hog farm that sells pork products to Whole Foods. I was simply pointing out that corporate meat is a huge business. Most of the NC corporate farms are owned by Chinese companies.
Here is some more data:
My only point on this subject was that meat is indeed a HUGE capitalist enterprise, globally.
The meat I consume is more of the local and/or organic variety.
