Pretty damn impressive. He was the only one that had anything left.
I'm beginning to think though that Bekele is never going to get anywhere near his old form back. :(
Or perhaps Jerry has found the secret room at Nike headquarters that Salazar understands to compete internationally?
What will Jerry do with so many guys? Lamong, Derrick, Jager, Heath, Hueling, Webb, Teg, Solinsky, Hill, Bayer!

Bekele is in the marathon base phase, it's quite understandable he can't compete with guys like Kiprop on 4K XC
I think Chris Derrick actually won.
Different distance
Was Kiprop drunk?
this.
he probably ran hard long run yesterday (30km in 1:32).

I missed the men's race (I was out running 8 miles). Is there a replay? I saw the women's race.
I love this- ok, I'm 54, when I was younger I wished there was a way I could watch European XC races (without going to Europe).

Garrett isn't in Jerry's group. His brother, Elliott, is.
Kind of a shock, really. What has Garrett done in cross previously?

And Kudos to Garrett Heath! Really enjoyed watching.
he probably just returned from the typical Kenyan three-months rest period after last season. Having done only 2-3 weeks of easy jogging, he ran pretty damn fast, I dare say.
Here is the 4K Replay on USATF.tv, http://www.usatf.tv/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=45365&do=videos&video_id=102316
Not a total shock on Heath winning
he is a 3:34 7:44 13:20 guy who seems to keep himself fit and in some kind of racing shape most of the year
If you pointed to this one, you could catch guys who are clearly not in peak fitness
Bekele was there just to collect a paycheck. He is a marathoner now and trying to be competetive in 4k does not make any sense. He should have gone for 8k.
