Now that we have at least 4 white guys currently running who could beat his old record.

Kennedy ran roughly 14 years ago. That fact that only 4 white guys ran faster is a testament to his greatness.
15 years later we SHOULD have 4 guys running faster than previous record holders.
How many times did Bob Kennedy go sub-13?
He was crazy good.
If you're really asking this question, you're an idiot. If you're trying to get a rise out of people who care about such things, you're an idiot.
Hey, at least you're consistent.

Yeah, and the Titanic was a small boat, too.
Let's not forget, Kennedy also went 7:30 in the 3K. How many guys have beaten that?
Bob Kennedy was extremely good

I think Solinksy and Teg can get under that record.

Bob was a stud and humble and cool ! He was a role model to each of these fine young runners and he was a beast at workouts.
How many European races did Kennedy win?
nope. none of them can. They have been racing the 3K for a number of years and nothing indicates sub 7.30.
Different era. Bob was great for his era. Someone else will show up within the next 20 years to eclipse Solinnsky's great run. That is just the way it is.
how close was kennedy to the world record at the time of his 12:58?
On a similar note of comparing this performance with those of 90s american runners, whats so great about Todd williams? I am not trying to be an asshole, but I am pretty young so I don't remember him. From his wikipedia, I get that he ran 27:31, but it also says he dnf'ed the Olympics in 1996. I have heard on numerous occasions that he was the best american 10k guy of the 90's, but I am just not that impressed.

26:59 does
Todd Williams was in the top ten at the World Championships twice and was tenth at the Olympics at a time when no one else from the U.S. was doing anything.

Hopefully that puts it into perspective.
