No chance... it's in Portland again. Why in the hell would it move to SLC or Dallas?
NTN is a one brand shoe trade fair with a lousy demo HS XC race. They should move it to a place people want to go to in December like Phoenix or Tucson.
The climate should be somewhere in between what NY's and Cali people would want.
Footlockers kills the Northeast kids whocome from snow and cold to heat of San Diego. In December, 60+ os HOT to a New Yorker/New Englander.
Trade shows and sales faires are always held in warm weather spots, typically in the spring or fall. Nike has really bungled NTN by holding it in disgusting December weather in Oregon. To no one's surprise, few show, only a skeleton crew from each team. The bad weather conditions keep siblings, coaches, parents, and fans away. NTN is a prime case study of the stupidest marketing show that I can think of.

Been their twice with my teams and we had a great turnout of family (parents, siblings, extended members, assistant coaches). Appeared to be the norm for most teams. Fans? What do you expect for a high school meet? Maybe it's not the best place for the "trade" or "marketing" show you speak of, but it's been very well received by the actual teams attending and competing. Teams vying for a national title or a top 10 finish aren't too concerned about the weather.
Yep, it's only cold in the NE in December, that's why they run so bad
I heard too that NXN will move to the southwest region because of the poor conditions and low turnout in Portland. I wonder where ? I hope Nike has better people than the bozos at Adidas. Adidas moved the Adidas Track Classic from Gresham to an unfinished track in Carson, CA, with no toilets, no permanent seats, and the press box built on the wrong side of the track. Consequently, no fans show up in spite of the meet clearly having the most awesome and most loaded field of Olympic/WC medalists for any 1 day TV meet anywhere in the world.
