The Week That Was is back as we take a look at the wild regional meets which were great for one teen phenom (Athing Mu) but not so great for some others like Nico Young and Katelyn Tuohy who will be watching NCAAs on tv. Plus did you know there is another US teen, Graham Blanks, who ran 13:27 last week but also won't be at NCAAs as he hasn't even started college yet?

It was a great day for US distance running as American teens broke 13:25 twice in the span of five hours.

Mantz ended the American individual drought with a DOMINANT final four minutes as he won by 22.1 seconds. In the team battle, NAU (1st with 60 points) was magnificent and they needed to be as Notre Dame had the best runner-up score since 1997 (87 points).

At last, the 2020 NCAA xc championships are almost here (in 2021). Will BYU repeat or will NAU win it's 4th title in 5 seasons? And can anyone stop Wesley Kiptoo?

The #2 BYU men may have upset #1 NAU, but NAU held out one of the top runners in the country in Luis Grijalva. Young finished an impressive second as NAU's Taryn O'Neill won the women's race.
