Did Yomif Kejelcha or Hagos Gebrhiwet break the 5000m world record in Oslo? How did American Graham Blanks, Nico Young and Cooper Teare do? We'll break down ...
Already posted this under Oslo Wavelight thread, but according to the official wavelight website (), the wavelights for the 5k will be aiming to go 3k in 7:42, or 12:50 5k pace. That means for the WR they'll have to run a 4:53 final 2k, which seems just a little absurd (that's sub-7:30 3k pace). Hopefully this is wrong, as I also read somewhere else that the wavelights were going to even split it, but the official website says otherwise...
Hopefully they smarten up and grant a late entry to Dion Marquise Hayes so he can light the world on fire. He beats EPO infested record chasers for breakfast.
The “National” 1500 was won in 3:34.84 by Kristian Hansen, a 28 year old who’d never broken 3:37 before today. I know 3:34 guys are a dime a dozen these days, but it bodes well for fast times.
Kristian Hansen ran for New Mexico from 2017-2020 and was a relative nobody:
This just shows the problem with GST. Check out this meet - packed stadium at night in a cool European city. Only 2 hours long, lots of events. Plus there is a WR attempt
