Hall! She's had a great training block and is healthy and hungry!

I also think Rosario will have his first Olympian. He is a disciple of Hansons and has learned some valuable lessons on how to handle the marathon.
Hall for sure. The DNF in NY doesn't register; she shouldn't have run it after Berlin but probably felt obliged to. Although she is older, it feels like her career is on the up, she races hard, and has the speed. She destroyed Molly Huddle at the Houston Half and I don't buy that line about Huddle stepping on the brake.
After Hall, probably Des. Sisson looked good but has one result to her name. She could just as easily clock 2:35 as 2:25.
1. Hasay --> she podiums with Kenyan competitors
2. Sisson --> she seems happy and relax
3. Hall --> shes at her best
amen
Changing of the guard.
1. Hasay—she is the best marathoner when healthy and now the drama is over.
2. Sisson—never runs a bad race. Can’t name the last time that she disappointed.
3. Hall—she was hurt and only ran 2 weeks before Boston. NY was a dumb idea after Berlin. This has been a smart build up.
4. Bates—has never lost in a marathon to another American. Beat up Des bad at NYC Half
5. Taylor—will be up there through 22
Both Huddle and Linden will DNF as they will save themselves for 10000 (Huddle) and Boston (Linden)
6. Kipyego— super talented and has trained well in Kenya
Emma Bates Desi Linden and Sisson. Hasay would stand a chance. But the hills will probably aggravate her injury.
Tough question as it seems like the women's field is a little deeper than the men's. If I had to bet I would put money on Linden as she's been so consistent over recent years and has a lot of confidence and seems like she's really in the flow of the marathon right now.

I’m okay with this, although I’d prefer if Hall comes in second.
I wonder what shoes Sisson (NB) and Hall (ASICS) will run in.

Sisson for me.
Hall second. Hall has a fairly low success rate. Sisson has more than enough fitness to make it.
Hasay - injury questions.
Kipyego - age and return to fitness question
Huddle - injured
Linden - running Boston, so kind of blowing off the Trials.
No idea about the other girls. They seem less talented.
Girls? There is only one girl entered, Tierney Wolfgram, and as a 16 year old with a 2:40 pr, I doubt she'll make the team.
Cragg. She's faking the sickness to no one is basing their race plan with her in mind, gonna come in and shock them all
Hasay's my favorite girl, and she's the only girl who can hang with the top girls.
Des without a doubt
I think the question could also be...
A Who will finish in the top 3 at the Marathon Trials?
B Who will compete in the Olympic Marathon?
I believe Sisson will make the marathon team and is my pick to win. However, would she eschew the Olympic Marathon for the 10,000 and then run New York in the fall?
I also have a feeling Huddle will be 3rd or 4th, but will opt for the 10,000 in the Olympics.
Lets say the top 5 is Sisson, Linden, Huddle, Hall, Hasay, then the marathon team could end up being Linden, Hall, Hasay.
I do think we will see at least one of Taylor or Bates in the Olympic Marathon.
Reported for being dumb. NO F*CKING WAY JORDAN HASAY QUALIFIES Better chances for DNS. Best she gets is 5th

Man the perverts on this site make me cringe.
Sisson, Kipyego, Huddle.
End of thread
Sisson is the only lock to make the team, but I think Kipyego and Hasay both stand a chance of winning the whole thing if they're in good shape. And Huddle, Des and Hall will be battling out for 3rd.
If I have to make a call, it will be in this order:
(healthy)Hasay
Sisson
Kipyego
Huddle
With that said, I'm rooting for Huddle!

I agree. Maybe the guy isn’t a pervert and doesn’t know any better? I wonder who his favorite “boys” are. , maybe the 40-something Legat?
For the women I’ll go with Sisson, Hall and Linden. I’d really like Hasay to go but I’m not sure of her injuries. Hall, Sisson and Hasay would all be Olympic rookies, correct? That would be cool.

I am excited to see how she does. That 2:40 was a long time ago. Who knows how much she has improved since then. I know it would have to be a lot to be top 3 in this field, but stranger things have happened.
It will be
1. Sisson
2. Des
3. Kipyego.
If she finished Hasay will be third but i do not think she will finish, the same with Huddle if she finishes she will be 4th but i do not think she will finish.
