Some comments from this week:
RRR: Welcome back to running!
Highhoppingworm: Enjoy the taper and good luck at your marathon. Treadmill workouts aren't so bad once you get used to them...
JQ: Another solid week of high-mileage training.
SC: That is a really tough progression long run. Nice work.
OR: Strong set of progression runs as always. I think you are looking very strong for your next marathon. Norm Green seems like a good role model of a runner for you.
Sub-6: Hope your ankle feels better soon.
GFMAH: Your buildup is coming along nicely.
NiceGuy: I have yet to do a 21 miler on a treadmill even though I run a lot on the treadmill. I did do a 20 mile long run on the track a few weeks ago though.
LancRunner: Congratulations on the new weekly mileage PR. I consider 16+ miles as a long run and 11-15 miles is a medium long run. I can't remember where I read this.. Daniels or Pfitzinger?
moke: Great job with the 10K race.
RGM: Nice to see you building up your mileage again.
Pappy: Welcome back to running again.
AJ: You killed that 5K race.. sub-16 and big congrats! Awesome kick for the finish.. 4:18 pace is just sick. Really looking forward to see how big of a PR you can run at London.
GT: Nice 6 mile tempo and 21 mile long run. Looking good for Boston.
THOUGHTSLEADER: Hope you enjoyed your trip to Napa and still got some training in. Project FEARLESS sounds pretty cool.
pewow: Nice 12 mile MLR.
darkwave: Good luck in your marathon! Interesting to read comments on why you have shorter marathon training blocks but it seems to make sense and work for you.
drcrusher: Solid 20 mile long run at a moderate pace.
Tyler Runs Lifts: Great 10 mile progression tempo run and 22 mile long run. You recovered quickly from that half marathon and congratulations on the sub-70 half.
coffee dad: Congrats on the weekly mileage PR.
BHViking: Great job on that 12 mile long tempo run.
Still Improving: IMHO the 17.7 mile run was definitely a long run. 16 miles is the cutoff for long run for me (I am trying to do 1 long run a week during this training cycle)
statfanatic: An impressive week of training as always ("light" quality at 5:30 pace.. )
npurdy: Welcome back to the thread! Any insights on what you need to do to go sub-2:40 in a marathon? (that is my goal for 2020 London)
fnd: Solid volume for high school XC/track training.
GNR1: Great set of strength repeats.. 2 sets of 4.5 miles at 5K pace.. very impressive. You probably are just that fit and are primed to set another 5K PR.
HHH Runner: Good luck in the national XC championships this weekend. I hope the Virgin London Marathon goes on as planned. It was the hardest major for me to get into. Looking forward to hearing your reports about training in Iten, Kenya.
RunnerSam: Great week of training and good luck on your 5 mile race.
coccoon: Congratulations on the high mileage week and that tough trail long run. IMHO more mileage is good but you have to make sure you don't get injured increasing the mileage.
mikemike: Sorry about the Tokyo marathon being cancelled but you will be running Tokyo in 2021 right?
mdubs: Nice 25x200 workout.
Guy Broman: 16 miles is a long run in my book.
jewbacca: Still got some decent runs despite life getting in the way.
Powsloke: Another great week of relatively slow but high volume training.
DietBacon: Very strong alternating pace tempo.. hope your hamstring is back to 100% before the race.
