Forgot Reed Brown has eligibility. So it'll be today's lineup with Reed on the 1600 instead of Teare

Guessing ISU pulls Kurgat and moves Lagat to the 1600. They have a 1:48 guy who is running open 800 today.

Thomas is the best coach in the NCAA for 800/1500m, and still pretty good at with 5k/XC for some individuals.
He is way better than Powell the previous coach in 800/1500 AND 5k/XC.
Let me know when Thomas has athletes go 1-3 at Nationals.
When Univ. of Texas ran their 9:25:xx about 10 years ago it was a world record. Was it no longer the world record?

Not sure if it can be considered a World Record because they are not all from the same Nation. Yesterday's team had a Brit, Aussie and two Americans.
Wikipedia:
The United States team of Matthew Centrowitz Jr. in 2:49.47 (1,200 meters), Mike Berry in 46.40 (400), Erik Sowinski in 1:47.60 (800) and Pat Casey in 3:56.48 (1,600) currently hold the indoor world best in a time of 9:19.93. The mark was set on January 31, 2015 in New Balance Track & Field Center, New York City, New York.
What a result. Congrats.
So Oregon has two foreigners, both national standouts in their hone countries, Cooper Teare and a 47 400 runner.
Congrats to Nike for making this all possible.
NAU has a former Indoor Mile champ in Beamish on the squad, as well as 13:16 and 13:29 5000m guys.
The Cali kid has come a long way from 4:00.16 on Instagram live. Nothing but respect for the man!

9:24.52 for the Men of Oregon. Wow.
Does anyone have the video of the race?
where does Oregon train? Normally they don't have an indoor track, now they don't have an outdoor track either. Is there even a team there? I'm not convinced they're real.
Here’s @OregonTF’s collegiate-record 9:24.52 in the men’s distance medley relay in Ark

The other top NorCal runner from that class of 2017 was Grijalva, who has done pretty well also.
nice touch with Colonel Sanders ringing the bell lap, and I thought this was a down year for Oregon who knew?
Maybe they’ll get better than 9th place at NCAA XC next year.

Those splits are redic!
helps to have 12 scholarships in long distance and to be at altitude.
Oregon doesn't even have a track to train on.
