His earlier workout of 5x5k was done on 15:15s (slowed a little). At a bit of altitude but good temperature. He said the the repeats were at MP, if we take his word for it he’s aiming to go under 2:09. He seems close to that.

I think he may just be erring on the faster side for MP work because of his background. Where as a speed based runner might want to err on the slower side.

I agree with this. Because of the way he took lots of rest in that 5 X 5k workout, it doesn't accurately predict marathon pace, but more like 5-10 seconds faster. I'm really excited to see how this block turns out.
