I’ve been diagnosed with Hallux Rigidus in both of my big toes and have been trying conservative treatment for a year to no avail (orthotics, RICE, metatarsal pads, ART, etc).
My orthopedist said I need surgery if I want to run again. I am 41 and otherwise healthy.
Anyone had a cheilectomy (or two) and went back to running at a high level in their 40s?
