Man speculates about the reasons for his 'slow' 10K time in order to help him try and meet his marathon goal
Man shares video of all of this for people who are genuinely interested in what he has to say and who happen to like him
ONLY on LR could this be ripped to shreds.... get a grip guys!
He is a professional athlete and we're talking about sports.
Sage seems like a like able smart guy . But sometimes he post things like “ this is when I broke 30 on the track “ . I mean a decent time but not worthy of some video . He runs his workouts way to slow . 3:15 -3:20 1k repeats . Some good college women can do that .
Is Coach Sandi still coaching him? What happened to the weight lifting he was doing? Did he give that up?

Not sure what weight training he was doing, but with only a few weeks left until the marathon he shouldn’t be doing any right now. What weight training was he doing?

For awhile he was on this theory that he needed to do deadlifts in order to strengthen his core or something. Or more power for glute activation or some other related nonsense. I just haven't heard much about it recently in his videos so figured he gave up on that pretty quickly.

Alright so I disagree with just about all of this. I didn't think the Japanese trials were good for the sport. I think the buzz for the Trials in a couple months would be worse off if there were only 20 entrants combined.
Also Sage literally said he ran the 10k at marathon pace. That's a fine workout. His HR was in the 160s. That seems fine to me.
Think about how much added buzz was given to the all the races before the Japanese trials. Who would run the super fast times to qualify? Who would run 2 moderately fast times and qualify. Who would run a top place at a big marathon and get the qualifer.
The buzz for the US trial might be worse with a smaller field. But the buzz level is so low, who cares? Picking up 100 people who know someone who is running the trial doesn't move the needle.
And if Sage was happy with the results, why is he doing blood tests?
