Almost February and only a handful of elite times...
It's DIII... Who cares

I mean yeah but february is generally when most of the qualifying times are run, at least in the distance races (not sure about other events). there's always a few fast december times (as there were this year) and then not much until february or even last chance march meets bc trying to run a national qualifier in early january after a cross peak in november is just dumb if you want to do well in outdoor. see greg morgan last year who ran 8:14 in early january, ran well at indoor nationals, and then did terribly at outdoor nationals.
Don't think that was the reason why Garg Morgan bombed at outdoors, the man just choked. Look at Patel for example. He ran 14:28 as an opener on Jan 11th last year and did just fine for all of indoors and outdoors.

It's because its a leap year and a generally late calendar. Everything is pushed back later than it usually is. Most teams have only had one meet since winter break ended. Two at most.
Carleton’s Wilkinson early favorite for 3k 5k double champ?
Prior to 2018, no D3 runners had ever run sub-4:00 indoors?!
Holy cow!

I doubt he will win the double, but he definitely has a shot at winning the 5k after running 14:22. But I'd give a slight edge to Watson. He has obviously been doing very well lately and when he ran 14:25 he was running in lane 2 the whole time because of all the people he was lapping.
It's going to be an exciting race as there is no clear front runner
Well according to your username D2 apparently is as well
It’s been rumored on the boards before but I think it’s time we talk about it now: Hunter Moore from Otterbein is a force to be reckoned with. Pretty inconsistent D1 career but he seems to be on a new beat now that he’s home. Will be interesting to see where he’s at over 5k.
DIII 3k record 7:59 in jeopardy this weekend? Aidan Ryan is racing against the big boys at camel city.

I'd be very surprised/impressed. He's not in the same shape as he was when he ran 8:09 in December.

Well looks like you were wrong! In fact he's in almost exactly the same shape he was in December (jdl is after all, a REAL track and not a CHEATER track like BU) and would still clean up the rest of D3. I'm excited for him to break 7 in the coming weeks and prove all of the hater's wrong.
The best meet of the indoor season is upon us. Bu’s David hemery valentine invitational. Does Williams’ dmr actually go mid 9:40s? Does Greg Morgan break 4:00 in the mile? Find out all that and more this Saturday!
A big yes and a big no.
Any guesses on cutoff times for nationals this year? 800-5k of course

I don't think that the 3k will be that fast. Remember that the 34th guy got in last year.
