Male tops U of Montana's women's cross-country team
By Bill Zwerger
For those who haven't been following, here's an update on the University of Montana women's cross-country team member "June" Eastwood, formerly known as Jonathan. Not surprisingly, he has fared quite well against his weaker and slower female competitors this season, finishing first at the U of Montana's Invitational and second (by one second!) at the most recent Bronco Invitational. But that's only to be expected, seeing that he was a top runner (see men's 5,000-meter results) for the U of M Grizzlie's men X-C and track and field teams as recently as 2017.
I have the sneaking suspicion that his latest second-place finish was due to him "letting off the gas" toward the end of the race, seeking to minimize the negative publicity his winning yet again would have garnered, along with the outrage his female opponents must feel in having a male win every race against them. It will be interesting to see what happens when he competes in the NCAA D1 championships, whether he again backs off at the end or instead decides to end his collegiate X-C career as the champion...of women.
Update:
Breaking news from the University of Montana's world of wokenesss: Biological male "June" (formerly Jonathan) Eastwood has been named the Big Sky Conference "Female" Athlete of the Week!
Yes folks, you read that right. A six foot tall, 165lb dude wearing women's running shorts was named Big Sky's "Female" athlete of the week.
However, you won't currently find this information on the U of Montana's website. Even their media release only states that he was named " athlete" of the week, not "Female" athlete of the week. Apparently they do not have the courage of their extremely twisted convictions.

This guy should stop calling women weak and slow. Why does he not also add “not smart”, “unfocused” and “low achieving” while he is at it.
...the way he makes it sound, the wage pay gap seems justified.
I don't support it, but whether Transgender females should be allowed to compete was litigated years ago. Ranting about it is a waste of time.
Using the ratio between women and men's WR's, June's 5K PR equates to about 16:10, so her performance in XC hasn't reached that level yet.
Some people believe that hormone treatment levels the playing field, but I don't believe that's true. My hope is that there will never be a male good enough to compete at anywhere near a world class level after transitioning. It has happened yet in any sport. There have been thousands of men good enough to win the women's Wimbledon championship, but Richards is still the only transgender woman to have ever played on the women's tour.
Semenya, Wambui and Niyonsaba were all XY "intersex" males who kept any XX women off the 800m podium in Rio. Whether their T-levels were similar to trans males like Eastwood is unknown but maybe irrelevant as the advantages are clearly more than simply T-levels (although the three have not competed since IAAF rules restricting T-levels were put in place, so clearly it is an advantage).

He did not call women weak or slow. He simply said that they are weaker and slower than male athletes, which is simple biology, and also the reason we have female specific sporting classes.

Google scholar - 50 yrs of research looking at this. After controlling for job type, degree, yrs experience and every other important variable, there is a negligible gap. Gender is not causal. Why are people so dumb? There is literally more information today, but they listen to sound bytes because they are too ignorant to digest the actual literature.

Which one is Eastwood?

For me it would be like using PED's. Every achievement and result would come with an empty hollow feeling.
June Eastwood is male and therefore a man.
We can extend a level of consideration if he wants to be identified as female and call June "her" but when the rubber meets the road we should be under no obligation to lie about his biological sex.
And don't even start with the utter nonsense of gender and sex being different. They are not.
UCI (cycling governing body) gets ahead of the game on transgender athletes, at least compared to the NCAA.

If I had college to do over I'd identify as a woman seasonally and go into wrestling... In fact I still have eligibility in california jr colleges. Do they have wrestling for women?
It's sickening how they are promoting him.
I also wonder how this all works in reality.
Are the female athletes forced to shower with Jonathan?
I guess they are, because according to the dominant ideology "trans women are women" and it's transphobic to make any exception for them. If Jonathan couldn't shower with them, they would be recognizing that he isn't a true woman.
But... Jonathan still has a penis.
I guess he would describe it as a "female penis". Yes, these days it's totally ok to have a penis as a woman:

But what if he gets aroused showering with the female athletes of the team? He has a GF, so we have to assume he likes women (which would make him a lesbian with a penis I guess). Are his teammates just supposed to ignore an erect penis a couple of inches away when they are taking a shower?
Renee Richards, The Telegraph, 26 March 2019
“The notion that one can take hormones and be considered a woman without sex reassignment surgery is nuts in my opinion,” Richards says. She also revealed that she would never have competed as a woman if she had transitioned in her 20s rather than 40s because she "would have beaten the women to a pulp".
Women are weak and slow. Those are facts, not opinions or insults. Good Men run 10.0 in the 100 while good women run 11.0. Men lift much more weight than women. If women were not weak and slow, seperate categories would not be required.

Wait, what?
She's a he? First I heard of this. I don't approve. Does this critter share the showers with "her" teammates?
Critter?!?! This is a human being we're talking about here, whether you like it or not.
