ummmm? come onnnnn. The 'logic' here is that someone born and fully developed male for 21 years has an advantage over the women. Negligible advantages between women relative to those between trans and biological women.
Trust me, I hear you. I'm only recognizing that everyone has a different talent level and saying someone deserves to have won or been recognized because they have worked hard, made sacrifices, etc. takes away from the issue at hand.
Your argument should be simple and not watered down with emotion: The human body takes years to fully adapt to an external stimulus such as running, right? Some would say a minimum of 7 years of training/racing is needed to peak. Many would say it takes more. That's how long it takes the body to fully transition to that stimulus.
Likewise, the body takes years to fully adapt to an internal stimulus in the form of massive hormonal changes like we see with puberty. As transgender studies have shown, there are still changes taking place over 3 years after hormone treatment has begun. It's likely there are other effects taking place on a longer time scale we don't see so easily with our eyes.
Anyone transitioning with hormones will need more than 12 months to do so completely. No scientific studies even debate that. So why aren't the sporting bodies following what everyone that has been through puberty knows and which every scientific study shows: the human body takes many years, possibly 7 at a minimum to fully adapt to any sort of massive internal or external stimulus.
