Go look at some YouTube vids of Killian running down hill. He almost looks like he flies. Killian would crush both of them.

Fixed that for you.

I am a mountain runner. I LOVE my sport. But you guys just don’t get it.
Kipchoge, today, would wipe the floors with Killian and every other one of our top guys on the ascent. People are acting like the altitude and ascent would affect Kipchoge more than mountain runners. You realize he’s lived at altitude all his life? He routinely goes on 50k training runs which undulate, climb, and often peak well above 2500m.
Now for the whole race, Killian would likely still win, as I think the descent is such a specific skill that he would make up all time lost on the ascent. However, to think that Kipchoge wouldn’t drop damn near every human on an ascent at altitude is egotistical of mountain runners and shows a poor understanding of the talent someone like kipchoge has.
Holy cow, Darkstar, you are truly retarded. There is no chance Kipchoge could beat Killian on a steep climb or decent of any meaningful distance. Why? Because he never climbs. He may run sort of hilly training runs, but he doesn't climb. Killian has been training for mountain races his entire life, logging millions and millions of vertical feet climbed. He has the 2nd highest Vo2Max of any runner alive. You are grossly misunderstanding the fact that Killian as a whole is fitter than Kipchoge. He only lacks speed to Kipchoge and only on flat roads. He is a far better climber and has more overall endurance from the countless 100 mile races he has run. While Pikes may be 26.2 miles, in time it's a lot longer than a 2:03 road marathon.
Do you have any concept of how hard climbing 7,500 feet is, at serious elevation, to someone who doesn't EVER climb anywhere near that amount? "Undating"? Get serious. Pikes Peak is 7,500 feet straight up with about 2 miles of sort of flat terrain. I would be willing to bet anything that Kipchoge does not do more than 2,000 feet in a run (and that would be a bunch of 75 to 100 feet per mile climbs), whereas Killian is routinely doing 6k to 8k or more per run. They also both train at altitude, with Killian training at significantly higher altitudes than Kipchoge.
In summary, not sure if you are trolling or just retarded.

Signed, the same jegoffs who also believe Kipchoge could beat Killian in a mountain race.
Kipchoge can crush these guys any day, and he doesn't need "specific mountain training" to do it. What's with all these mountain runners acting like running downhill and/or on "technical" trails is some special skill? Get over yourselves.

Let me guess, you weren't good enough to race on the roads. Sad.
it's embarrassing, really wrote:
