The facts are:
Several kids are from outside of their school district.
Many of their runners have run incredibly fast prior to coming to Newbury Park.
They do run very fast under their coach’s training.
How about you tell us specifics and stop sounding like a whiny baby.
Who are these several kids and are they braking any rules? If they are, does CIF somehow not know about it?
What do you consider "incredibly fast"? What is wrong with doing that before going to Newbury Park? Would you prefer only incredibly slow kids join the running team? Should all the extremely short kids join their basketball team?
Why so defensive?
The Young brothers, Sahlman brothers and Aaron Cantu all live outside of the Newbury Park school zone. As far as I know, Newbury Park has open enrollment. I’m not accusing them of braking rules and I have no idea what CIF knows and doesn’t know.
I consider under 5:00 for 1600 fast for a middle schooler and under 4:50 for 1600 incredibly fast. They have a ton of both. You can look up the specifics on athletic.net.
Why would anything in my post be worth being so defensive? No judgement at all. Do you disagree that 6 of your better runners living out the school area is a lot? Do you disagree that running under 4:50 for 1600 for a middle schooler is fast?
They have fast kids come in to the program and they run fast when they are there. Is that whining?
