In my opinion, the most impressive out of all the world records. He would have to run sub 3:56 mile pace for 7 and a half laps. Will he do it?

Yes. 2022
Jakob will run 7:18 but then Drew Hunter will finish ahead of him.
No.
If he can break 7:30 he should be proud.
I don't think any of the peak EPO-era distance track records will be broken any time soon.
He would also have to break Komen's World Record for most EPO injected in a year.
Given the minimal opportunities and his talent level, I see him running 7:28 someday maybe.
He won't even come close. I think he has a decent chance of breaking 7:30, but not by much.
8 Ball says.,,
Doubtful.
If the Diamond League will switch to 3000m instead of 5000m I think we will see the Komen record broken within ten years from now. Jakob or another runner.

I hope you understand Jacob is division A and Drew division B ?

+1....unless WADA turns off the ABP program.
I believe that the 10000m WR will be broken in the next 5 years, but not by Jakob Ingebritsen. Maybe someone can break the indoor 3000m WR since G. Dibaba has proven numerous times that it is possible to time trial on the modern indoor tracks, but JI seems too big for this. Kejelcha (or some other Ethiopian) is a better bet, but even the indoor record is so good that nobody tries.
Since JI cares about national records, he will also be more than happy to break a few European records, among other the 3000m ER.
No, but Kejelcha has the best chance.

^^^POTD
Yep next year he'll negative split a 7:18 (3:45/3:33)
If he breaks it he will also record an 800pr to finish.
The 3000m WR indoors is even harder than the outdoors one.
Both are very, very safe.
You could make an argument that mark Carroll at 7.30.6 is clean world record as only those from certain African nations where doping is pervasive are above him - and one Spaniard and many think they are dirty.
Carroll was a young phenomenon but nothing like Jacob. So I think Jacob could go 7.25/26 or so - but lower than that - cannot see it
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
