raczko was a 4:17 miler during high school but quickly burned out ...in his own words
webb is expecting a 3:53 right now, but hes not doing the work to run that fast...his recent workouts including repeat 400s were done with ample rest...not exactly waht he did in high school (for ex: 6 X 400 with 45 sec rest all under 59sec during high school indoor season)...
what i think is that he will continue living in the past, trying to get back his glory days. he also needs to realize that his season has just begun...a 3:59.4 for an opening mile is very good, and all he can do is improve. but alas, he gets disappointed again
who knows? maybe nike is putting pressure on him...but still, he's only gonna improve provided he doesnt get injured and no one pressures him to do well EXCEPT himself
