Hello from the North! (Canada) It doesn't matter what the background of the runner is and what we feel about it. Look at the facts. Sports, in particular track and field, and in more particular 100m, has been tainted with illegal drugs over and over. We all wish it wasn't true, but it is.
I will throw not only Bolt in the mix as guilty (just wait for the testing to catch up on old samples), but I will question our Cdn boy, Andre de Grasse, who a few years ago was touted to maybe replace Bolt. The Ben Johnson memories still haunt me...

ADG is on my list of LEAST likely dopers...the guy is a noodle. Also ran 10.9 his first time in borrowed spikes and BB shorts. He also Some people are just gifted. Also his progression is un-Bolt-like, kind of up and down with a major plateau like a clean guy would be.

Even if Bolt was a sec faster in 400 -44.28 his 100-200-400 times would add up to 73.05. Niekerk is at 72.81 seconds for all three.
I'm fairly certain that adding the times together doesn't settle the debate.
I cannot believe how naive people are when it comes to track and field now days. These competitors are on performance-enhancing drugs.. All of the professional athletes are doing it. When I say all I'm talking about at least 50 to 60% for track and field. There is a lot of money to be made in track and field, but only for those athletes at the top.
These kids are using in high school now. Even if their star athlete would test positive they're not going to kick them off the team they will keep that concealed . They have various designer drugs that cannot be detected. Unless you have random testing, and pop them right after they have injected, you will not be able to catch them. Those are just the facts. Many of these drugs can be out of your system in 24 hours, but the effects of them can last for weeks when it comes to performance.
Many sponsors of these athletes help them to cover it up. When it comes to small countries like Jamaica the testers themselves help them cover it up. The entire Jamaican team is using Peds. Their top female Sprinter's best time was 11:35 just before the Olympics in 2007, then the next year she runs a 10. 78 and wins the 2008 Olympics. The testing programs are a joke.
A small country like Jamaica is producing all of these great athletes all of a sudden. Their women finished 1, 2 and 3 in the hundred meters at the 2008 olympics. When was the last time a small country ever done that. Google Victor Conte's testimonies about drugs in sports and listen to what he has to say. He has numerous videos out there. If anyone should know it's him because he was at the center of the Balco investigation and he has come clean about everything. I guarantee you Matthew will shatter some national records and probably even Olympic and World Records if he continues to use HGH. That's my belief and I'm sticking to it.
I agree that If an athlete knows that his competition is on performance-enhancing drugs and is not being caught but is winning, then surely he wants to be competitive, so he's going to use them also. And yes I do believe that Boling is on performance-enhancing drugs. It has nothing to do with him being white. Many black track and field athletes are on them as well. And yes, I have seen Victor Conte's videos on YouTube; they make a lot of sense.

I saw this kid when he was competing in 7th-8th grade at a Baptist school in Houston. It was OBVIOUS that he was a freak. I called it then that he was going to be world-class. I would bet everything that I have that he was not on PED's then, or ever.

Has Boling put up any numbers yet this year?
What is he doing?
Idk if you noticed, but the NCAA has kinda ground to a halt.
He was ranked 4th in the 200 going into the nationals that never happened. He ran 6.68 and 20.66 indoors.
i say 99% of top athletes are on cocktails of drugs.Theres no such thing as natural these days. Its across most sports.People talk about how the east germans were in the 70s and 80s,but they are femenine, and non muscled, compared to todays athletes. As for matt boling being clean,i have no idea.Idont believe he'll ever be good enough to make a us sprint team, but hes a great long jumper.
Whinge whinge whinge. Why are they still able to compete then? Why has the country not been banned by WADA? Sounds like baseless bullshit.

Because they like to maintain this illusion of "fair." Silly, really.
Summer Wine, You can beat testing, even WADA is a joke. Just like USDA. Please just google something like "Are track and field athletes using performance inhancing drugs?" More specifically Google Victor Conte and Drug in sports. He has several short videos out there. He has a 15-minute one which is really good. I have watched all of them even the three and four minute ones they make a lot of sense.
Victor should know ; he along with others provided athletes with PEDs.. He was at the center of the Balco investigation that brought down some big-name athletes such as Marion Jones, A Rod and many others. He breaks it down in very understandable form. It all makes sense. You will hear some very interesting details about specific athletes and how the testing worxs. At least listen to the 15 minute one. I think you will find that it's not B S.
His 7th and 8th grade times must have not been too impressive since he wasn't heard of nationally. If you are a Phenom in Middle School you will be heard of nationally . Anyeh Bronson, a 13 year old Middle School phenom, won the National AAU long jump title, and she has been widely recognized.
If Matthew is using PEDs, I doubt if he was using them in Middle School. His times didn't become near world-class until he was 18 or 19. That's when he started getting the attention nationally as he should have.
Even though I'm highly suspicious of PED use, I personally think it's great that he's a white kid doing well in the Sprint events. It's the same way when I see a black person do well in golf, swimming etc. Diversity has always been good for sports, and sports have always been the best friend integration could ever have.
Someone who runs 19.92 into a headwind and long jumps 27ft is overrated. Ok you might be delusional.
Everything about the Mattew Boling story is the fact he is white, that is the story.
He's doing what I knew he was going to do, that is becoming that 200m man which is what he was always going to be. He will never be anything special in the 100m, but just maybe he can become somebody at 200m. No way he ever breaks 9.90, not unrealistic to see a sub 19.90 down the road. Good 100m speed, good 400 endurance, yep....200m.
Not his speed?
Trendarvis Friday ran a 10.00 as a HS kid, he still holds the HS record, where was the media? Boling gets attention because he is a rarity, hell he is the only white sprinter of merit ever in the SEC. There is nobody else.
"...the Mattew Boling story is the fact he is white, that is the story."
So his speed has nothing to do with it? He is white. That is the story.
I don't think so.
Then like all your Russian BS you'd be wrong about this also. He gets single out because he is a white dude in black events.
So the story is only his whiteness you say.
He could run a 12 second 100 meters and he would still garner all this attention?
