Galen looks like he is having a blast. He looks really happy.
You wait he’s going to have some really great races.
I believe Galen will go into coaching.

Unfortunately, the school has a rule that shirts must be worn at all times during workouts. They just forfeited their entire outdoor season.
My son was there.
It was impressive to watch Rupp's workout.
3 x 1600m (jog 400m) + 4 x 1200m (jog 400m)
4:23, 4:20, 4:20 + 3:12, 3:12, 3:13, 3:13
He was a good sport, shared some great insight.

Last 200 in 29 wearing Zoom Structures. Suck on that.
Does this impact you personally or something?
I've seen your picture and read a lot of your posts, I could see why you might try to seek personal validation through a proxy.

I said RUPP IS WEARING FLATS AND STILL LEADING THE GROUP. FURTHER PROOF THAT SPIKES ARE UNNECESSARY FOR DISTANCE RUNNERS. Did you hear me that time?
Would you be more scared of a prime bernard lagat catching you on the home stretch of a 1500m wearing victories or a prime lagat wearing nike frees?

I wouldn't be scared of either.

I hope he starts up a decent, well moderated, user friendly, running related message board.
Maybe call it, “Let’s Run Better?”

They are having fun.... I guess you have never seen older athletes doing that..... Sucks to be you huh....

Rupp is looking FIT. AlterG and Hydroworx has done him well.
That and thyroid supplementation, which is great for keeping fat off and which Salazar is known to put all of his athletes on.

NOT impressive for an elite.
That is 9600 m of 1600 and 1200 reps with LONG rest, at slower than his 10,000 pace.
With 200m jog it might be “impressive.”
This is a workout any club runner can do in the early season.

Actually, Rupp shows zero insight into training and zero interest in helping other runners or giving back to the sport.
This little photo op is the kind of thing most elites do all the time. It is telling that it gets special notice when Rupp does something so mundane.
I believe Rupp will not go into coaching.

all though I agree with you, hear me out
Maybe it's because he's a 2:05 marathoner?
Thanks for the tip, I didn't know Ben had his own podcast (outside of the Mid day treat w/ NAZ Elite). Here is a link to the podcast you mentioned.

When did he run 2:05?
Where did you see that from Rupp? If so, that is great news that his Achilles tendon has healed this quickly!
It just looks to me like Rupp’s marketing team has decided that he should build a more fan-friendly, nice guy public image going into the 2020 Olympics. Today, he is smiling and running with high school kids. Tomorrow, he is posing on one knee while hugging a rescue dog. And so on.
Rupp has always been an underdog at the Olympics, but simply making the US team will be a big accomplishment this time around. His public image is still decent enough that he can become a fan favorite with a reasonable amount of effort.
