Like Beacon 1 or 2 upper. Do you know when the review is out.

Also does tend towards firm or soft side underfoot and does it have more cushion than the Reebok forever.

I just meant that it was warmish like the Beacon (1), not that the uppers themselves are similar, btw. I live in the Deep South, and it didn't really bother me, but I would not call it "cool like the RFFE".
Multi-tester review should go live this week; I think tomorrow or Thursday, actually, but don't quote me on that.
Happy to answer any other questions in the meantime :-)
I have it 8th on my list of 26 shoes I have reviewed, fwiw. Ride quality excellent, minor, fixable issues with upper.
Thanks and its cushioning levels compared to Reebok FFE, Asics glidride etc and firmness or soft underfoot, thanks.

Cushion is solidly between the RFFE and AGR, prolly leaning slightly towards the AGR side of the Plush Spectrum. (The AGR, by the way, actually ranked 2nd on my list; I friggin love that shoe, despite its weight.)
I would say very similar to the Razor 3, with just a bit more structure.
Hoping for these to work out as my new go-to daily trainer. The Epic React 2's slight upper changes kinda ruined the fit for a shoe that used to be perfect for me. The Forever Floatride Energy is great, but I would like something a tad more protected for just daily runs. The Floatride Run 2.0 is working pretty well though it has some flaws (upper cage, stiffness, heaviness of rubber on bottom). The Maxroad 4 feels like it gets in the way a bit too much and the upper is not ideal.
Am I the only one worried this shoe will be worse than the GRR7 BECAUSE of the hyperburst? Mac, you're usually a lot more enthusiastic about shoes you're truly excited about.
The only shoe I have with hyperburst is the Razor 3. It's hard for me to imagine that midsole foam feeling better than Flightgen for the easy pace miles I would use the shoe for. I imagine the GRR8 being so much firmer than the 7 that it could be named something entirely different.
Quell my worries.

I wouldn't worry about that. The MaxRoad 4 is very soft and cushioned. It feels a bit too much so for most of my normal easy runs. I hope the Ride 8 works better for this because it has less stack height and should be a little firmer. The MaxRoad 4 is probably better for recovery runs.

Ha!
The midsole is truly great. I have had some fit issues with Skechers in general - they are consistently too narrow for me, with the exception of the GOrun 7 Hyper (with the insole removed) - but anyone with normal width feet should REALLY enjoy these. So, maybe the upper and (lack of) width have tempered my enthusiasm, but I think these are - overall - the best offering from Skechers since the Razor 3.
We're only making plans for Nigel. We only want what's best for him. We're only making plans for Nigel. Nigel just needs this helping hand.
Great review - this is definately another shoe I will try , looks like a great daily trainer.

so where are these shoes already?
get your act together Skechers.
Out now online but not in my size
Hi all,
How is everyone's Skechers GRR8. What is your thoughts on it after some miles? I am wondering how firm it is, as some say its a firm shoe. I don't want to firm as like as also a recovery shoe any feedback would be helpful :)
Have people found it much firmer than the 7 version, is it more cushioned/similar and more responsive. Thanks.
Cheers Steve
GRR8 is legit. Roomier than GRR7 in forefoot, which is nice, as people were asking for that. Firmer and snappier than MR4, bc of no pillars and more rubber on the outsole. So far, one jog and one progression and they disappeared on my feet. If you’re going to run with them sans sock liner, might need to go down 1/2 size.
