You've got serious talent. You could very well be the fastest guy on your team at 400-3200 soon, if you aren't already.
In two months, a lot of the older guys on the team will be gone. Some will graduate, and others will just drift away. Younger guys will sign up, and they will take their cues from you because you're the fastest runner on the team.
So now you have to decide: What do you want the next three years of running to be like? Do you want to establish a team culture of hard work, discipline, and success? Or do you want three more years of whining, complaining, goofing off, and slacking during workouts?
If you buy into the program and put in the work, the rest of the team will follow. Of if don't bother with running over the summer and undermine the coach every chance you get, the rest of the team will follow that, too.
You don't have to decide immediately. Realistically, you have about 4 weeks left to make up your mind. But you do have to decide.
