Post them here, got a pair coming in the mail next week after finding them for under $60, not sure what to expect. Read the reviews but those are always skewed.

Congrats, you just wasted $60. You'll be receiving a box full of crap its that equivalent.
Where'd you get that deal? I've trained in Shadows for the past year.
They have combined a new upper with a Sayonara 1/2 profile with something very similar to the sayonara 3/4 sole. Onto a winner, though I do worry a little about the long term health of the upper as the old Sayonara's were guaranteed to have your big toe poke through at 300-400 miles.
sorry, one of the worst shoes i've ever worn

That toe upper was what appealed to me. I ran in the old Corsoris and loved it since I have wide feet and tend to have metatarsalgia a few times and that soft upper really helped.

Why?
I got my pair today. Look the uppers but holy crap these shoes are firm. I dont think ive ran in a shoe this hard.
Did 2.5 today as a test run...Very firm feel makes you really feel grounded to the road. I could be wrong but I feel like I have to use more energy running in them. After a mile I settled into them and I liked them looking forward to doing more mileage in them.
I'm coming from the Epic React, Zoom Fly, Pegasus 35, and Boston.
Not one of Mizuno's quality trainers. Are they worth it for $60? Maybe...

Whats the purpose of the shoe, or was it just a bad model to choose.
Feels to heavy to race in and I normally train in shoes between 7.8-9.8oz this is a bit in between.
Just bought a pair to alternate with Kinvaras as steady run shoe. Feel like they size up a bit bigger than Kinvara, but did 5 miler in them, and thought they were fine...

They have way too much dikfor in the midsole.
Mizuno is the best brand in the world to me. The quality is so high. Yes, they are firm. That's a good thing. ALL shoes should be firm, inflexible with a thick sole with some decent cushioning/shock absorption.
No, they should not.

A firmer shoe is better than a cushioned shoe.
I don't know of any soft racers worn by elites.
The respected Spanish website foroatletismo.com has rated the Mizuno Wave Shadow 2 as the best lightweight trainer, ahead of models like the Boston, DS Trainer, etc.
I had the Wave Sayonara 4, which was very similar to the current Shadow, and it was a great do-it-all shoe. Cushioning was firm but forgiving. The Shadow is supposed to be a bit softer.
Very similar to the Boston, just wider fit, better grip, and lower drop. Durability should be similar. The Boston probably feels more agile, but I wouldn't say it's a faster shoe, just that the Mizuno has a more stable platform,

The Wave Shadow isn't a "racer".. I don't know any elite racers who wear Mizuno. I would also call the Adidas Adios a soft shoe, and it is one of the best flats I've ever worn.

Neither are the Kinvaras or Boston's but for non elites they are fine shoes.
After a couple of weeks running, these Mizunos are a damn fine shoe. As a runner who heavily supinators and lands on the outside of their feet. This shoe straightens that out surprisingly and I'm landing more midfoot and in the middle.
Also the u4ic foam is incredibly firm which I like compared to other soft shoes.
I wouldn't call it a racer but I also wouldn't feel bad racing a half or more in it either.
Very underrated.
awful , ugly clunkers , mizuno believes the mechanics of the human foot , is just like a horse hoof. ?
