This is awesome. Probably the coolest thing you've ever done with this website. Great job Brojos!

Mow'em down!! Make D2 proud....
Awesome!
Love this initiative AND the follow through BroJos!
Well done rojo and crew looking forward to seeing her run this course.
very cool brojos. this is what running and the running community should be all about. you guys need to keep moving in this type of positive direction. if you do, i think you'll find that it returns to you in spades.
Congrats to Kelsey!
Despite the mockery on the original thread, it seems enough sub-elites and probably some elites do visit this site.
I bet with just a little cash, LR can put together their own 'Night of Distance Running' and have their own Stanford Invite. A few 5000m and 2-4 10,000m.
Thanks for jumping int he ring and supporting World XC, Let's Run! Can't wait to cheer Kelsey on!
AWESOME good luck Kelsey!
I haven’t seen a post on let’s run this positive before! No trolls that I’ve seen anyway.
So I was thinking that this was an elaborate troll job by the brojos to poke fun at Shelby Houlihan and other pros who are skipping World XC. But wow, this Kelsey Bruce story is pretty awesome! Her post-collegiate improvements are insane... even moreso than Desi Linden. At just 26 years old, she becomes a legitimate dark horse threat at the Olympic trials with a big performance at World XC. Go Kelsey!
Cool!!!

I hope she has fun on the trip and posts a full my experience at the Champs story or second best an interview by the LRStaff.

Because you too could run 16ish minutes / 12% than the WR. In percentage terms, that's a 1:52 800m for a man. Whoopty do.

A Nite of Distinse Runing at the very least.
Hmmmmm maybe Let's Run has unknowingly stumbled on the way to MWCGA (Make World Cross Great Again)!
They will have more runners than most European nations (2).
So, why not let "club" teams run?
Kind of like the Nike does it- they can be any group as long as they're from the same country. So, if Nike (or anyone else like some billionaire who loves cross) wants to send a team they can. They can send one team, they can send 12 teams.
They would be sure to advertise to help out their investment.
Who cares if one country or another wins, I want the company that makes the shoes I wear to win.
just kidding brojos wrote:

The LR Spelcheck strikes again!

Weldon is in NYC and Kyle Merber from NJ*NY Track Club has experience putting together the Long Island Mile . . . enough LR posters from the NY/NJ/Conn area have 250 grand + jobs along with their low four minute mile PR and multi-million dollar houses to fund a nice road race around ICAHN and on that track.
The NY Jamaican Bickle Society once put together a Night of Reggae Music after one of the NY pro meets and filled the stadium. A number of NYC Foodie Groups hold Food Festivals there and could be used as tie-in for the meet. I bet Malmo has connections in the NY running world who have event promotion skills.
Ball is firmly in wejos court now !
All wejo has to do is buy lunch for Merber and Malmo and kick around some ideas and run them up a flagpole to see if they can fly
Good luck to you Kelsey! Glad to see someone took the offer. We'll be cheering for you

In hindsight, while we had an offer from an 8:19 steepler, it was an easy choice.
Unsponsored.
High Mileage.
Native Texan with Dallas ties.
Her coach is a big John Kellogg fan.
The more I think about it is the more I realize she and her coach are like a modern day/ better version of Wejo/Kellogg- with the big difference being she's actually good at the marathon. ;)
On serious note, when I read the email from her coach saying she couldn't get in to the Stanford 10,000 (and this isn't even Payton Jordan), I was like "A 2:31 marathoner can't get in to Stanford? That's a joke. Let's send her to World xc."
Now that I've talked to her, it's an even better story.
LETSRUN brojoes are amazing.
they put action to their words, and do something.
in contrast to the general population who confuses discussion with taking action.
taking action is taking action.
and we can criticize and say whatever, almost,
so its a free speech zone.
and to support the niche salt of the earth xcountry, where there is little money, a lot of pain and suffering, and bad weather,
brojoes for president.
of running that is.
amazing.
these guys are so good, they'll be a target to be banned,
the moment they have achieved total success is the moment they'll be banned...
for "hate" speech.
anyway it is a good day,
